Prague, 5th February 2024 – In 2021, the Czech company TollNet submitted the most favourable bid for the supply of an electronic toll collection system in Lithuania in the competition organized by AB Lietuvos automobiliu keliu direkcija (LAKD). However, during the additional scoring process, the company Proit was declared the winner, whose offer, according to TollNet,violated the terms of the tender.

Bratislava, 28 June 2023 – SkyToll succeeded in the public procurement of the Austrian toll system and electronic vignette system operator ASFINAG for the supply of mobile camera systems for enforcing the proper payment of sticker and electronic vignettes in Austria. Based on cutting-edge technology and advanced software using artificial intelligence, the system will make it possible to identify in normal traffic whether a vehicle has a properly paid vignette – whether in electronic or sticker form.
Prague, 4 March 2022 – PPF Group announced its intention to consolidate four technology companies from the Czech Republic and Slovakia under one strong brand. The newly established ITIS Holding will become the 100% owner of the operators of CzechToll and SkyToll electronic toll systems, the technology company TollNet and the supplier of payment solutions for carriers, PaySystem.

With the last day of February 2020 has completed the three-month trial operation of the entire electronic toll system in the Czech Republic, which was built for the Czech Republic by the consortium of SkyToll, a.s. and CzechToll s.r.o. in just 14 months. The core of this new electronic toll system is the Billien 5 information system from TollNet a.s. – the main subcontractor of the consortium.
On 1 December 2019 came the most significant day of the new electronic toll collection system in the Czech Republic (SEM). SEM has been successfully commissioned. This day closed the two-month pre-registration period for users, which, contrary to expectations, was used by fewer users than predicted by models.
